UNC Phi Mu
Dear Potential New Members,
Welcome to Carolina, and congrats on becoming a Tar Heel!
Everyone says college is where you find your people. Coming to Carolina, I was eager to discover a place where I belonged and meet my forever friends. I’ll never forget stepping out of the Phi Mu house after sisterhood round and immediately calling my mom to tell her I found my home. Now it’s three years later, and Phi Mu’s sisterhood has given me more than I could have ever imagined. As I approach my senior year, I am at a loss for words to express my gratitude to the group of women who have changed my life and shaped me into the person I am today.
College is a period of growth. It’s a unique time of life when we have the chance to figure out who we want to be, where we want to go, and what we want to do. It’s a time to take advantage of opportunities and live to the fullest. The women in Phi Mu have loved and supported me unconditionally as I have searched for my place in the world. They show up for me, lift me up, and cheer me on. They make me feel seen and valued for who I am.
Each and every one of you will grow and accomplish so much during your time at Carolina. Surround yourself with people who help you do so with grace, integrity, passion, and kindness. I found all of this and more in Phi Mu, and it is such an honor to serve as Membership Director. It brings me so much joy to represent our chapter and show everyone who steps through our doors just how special our sisterhood is.
Can’t wait to meet you in August!
