Meet Gamma Lambda

The Gamma Lambda chapter of Phi Mu at the University of North Carolina is a sisterhood dedicated to embodying the values of love, honor, and truth in all aspects of our lives. We believe that through these principles, we can inspire not only ourselves but also those around us to be the best versions of themselves. As active members of our campus community, we strive to make a positive impact through our involvement in various activities and service projects. Our goal is to leave a lasting legacy of sisterhood, leadership, and service that will continue to inspire and uplift others long after our time at UNC has ended. The bonds we form here are not just superficial connections but genuine relationships that endure through the ups and downs of life. We take pride in our commitment to one another and to the greater good, and we are honored to be a part of such a distinguished organization.

A letter from our President...

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Gamma Lambda Chapter of Phi Mu at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! My name is Lily Grace McCollough, and I am honored to serve as the 2025 Chapter President.

Looking back on my time at Carolina, Phi Mu has been the most meaningful and transformative part of my college experience. This chapter has given me incredible friendships, cherished memories, and a sense of belonging that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I will never be able to fully express how much this sisterhood has meant to me.

The women of Gamma Lambda have taught me what it means to show up for others with love, loyalty, and compassion. They are strong, resilient, and full of heart. They lift each other up, celebrate each other's victories, and stand side by side through the hardest moments. Every day, they embody our values of Love, Honor, and Truth, not only within our chapter, but across campus, in leadership, academics, service, and friendships. These values shine through in the ways they care for one another, lift each other up, and create a space where every member feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Phi Mu gave me people who know me deeply, who have celebrated my best days and carried me through my hardest ones. In Phi Mu, you are not just part of a sisterhood, you are known, supported, and loved for exactly who you are.

I will never be able to fully repay Phi Mu for all it has given me: a home where I have been able to grow, to find lifelong friendships, and to be loved exactly as I am. Phi Mu has shaped me in ways I could have never imagined, and I will always be grateful for the community that made Carolina feel like home. I am incredibly proud and humbled to represent such an extraordinary group of women as the 2025 Chapter President.
